Beyondhuman limits.

SENKORAI is a technology project from Kazakhstan. We build computer vision and sensor systems that help people see more.

How a thermal camera sees a heat source. Illustration.

We're just getting started. With the thing that matters most.

The idea behind SENKORAI is simple: technology should help people where they're in the most danger. Like a firefighter in a building so full of smoke they can't see their own hand.

Right now the project is at the very beginning. No big history and no big promises. Just a clear problem and an engineering approach to it.

  • Facts over slides

We decide based on tests and prototypes. A nice presentation proves nothing.

  • Listen to the people who do the job

We want to test every idea with firefighters and rescuers. They know what they need.

  • Build it ourselves

We plan to develop both the software and the hardware ourselves, from the sensor to the picture on screen.

  • Keep it simple

In a dangerous situation there's no time to figure out an interface. It has to make sense at a glance.

Why SENKORAI

The name is made of two Japanese words: senkō, a flash of light, and rai, lightning. Both are about light that cuts through the dark for a moment.

The Japanese name 閃光雷株式会社 is part of our style. We don't have a company in Japan.

Concept / research

SENKORAI
VISION

Our first project: thermal imaging and computer vision for firefighters and rescuers.

In a fire, smoke can fill a room in a couple of minutes, and you can barely see anything. A thermal camera sees through smoke. We want to add smart processing on top, so a firefighter can tell right away where the fire is, where the way out is, and where someone might be.

What we're working on

  • Thermal imaging

Seeing heat where your eyes and a regular camera can't make anything out.

  • Edge AI

Processing the image right on the device. No internet, no lag.

  • A clearer picture

Picking out walls, doorways and people, even when the image is poor.

  • A simple interface

Showing only what matters right now.

SENRIGANSR-01 千里眼

A module for a protective helmet. For now, it's a concept.

SR-01 is the working name for the hardware behind SENKORAI VISION. The idea: a small module that clips onto a helmet, with a thermal camera and a processor inside, and the picture shown on the visor. We haven't decided yet what it will look like or what its specs will be.

What it should do

Tap an item to highlight that part of the module.

Where we want it to fit

  • Firefighter helmets
  • Rescue helmets
  • Industrial hard hats

Where it has to work

  • Extreme heat
  • Rain and damp
  • Smoke and dust
  • Knocks and impacts

This is what we're designing for. It hasn't been tested yet.

All of this is a plan, not finished specs. We'll publish numbers only after testing.

Intelligence at the edge.

The picture doesn't get sent anywhere. Sensor, processing and display all live inside the module, so it won't need a connection.

Vision engine

Our software. It finds people, walls and dangerous heat sources in the frame. This is where we start.

We can build and test VISION ENGINE on recorded video before we have our own hardware. That's why we start with it.

Where it helps.

First and foremost, we're building this for firefighters and rescuers. Industry and research are interesting too, but we need to find out if there's real demand first.

    Fire & rescue

Find a person in the smoke, see where the fire is, and get out of the building safely.

    Industry

Spot equipment overheating at a plant before it becomes a problem.

What's next.

Five steps. We're not giving dates: we only start the next step once the last one has actually worked.

  1. Step 01

    Research

Studying how firefighters and rescuers work and what they really need.

    Now
  2. Step 02

    First software version

Building VISION ENGINE and testing it on recorded thermal video.

  3. Step 03

    Our own hardware

Putting the thermal camera, processor and visor together into the SR-01 module.

    Ahead
  4. Step 04

    Testing

Testing with professionals. This is also where we sort out certification.

  5. Step 05

    Launch

Production and sales. Only after testing and certification.
